Our Member - Elliott Atkins

Born in Northampton, England, and educated at the University of Kent at Canterbury, Elliott's photographic career started in the music industry during the late 1990s.

In 2004 he formed echoalpha, a UK-based company providing aviation images for individuals and industry. Equally at home in the unique environments of a cockpit or a dispursal pan,

Elliott has photographed everything from fast jets to classic props, helicopters to hot air balloons. His work has appeared in a number of publications including the Royal Photographic Society Journal, LOOP and PFA's "Popular Flying" magazine.

He is honoured to have been awarded the prestigious Licentiateship of the Royal Photographic Society (LRPS), following the successful submission of a portfolio of aviation images for assessment by a panel.

Elliott is currently writing a book covering the history of Royal Air Force Display Flying, which is due for publication in spring 2008.
