Our Member - Dan Megna

	Dan Megna is perhaps best known as consulting editor and regular contributor to Vertical magazine, the leading publication covering North America’s civil helicopter industry. For almost four years, Dan has been a part of the Vertical team, sharing his perspective and insight with readers and has established himself as a respected industry journalist.
But his passion has long been rooted behind the camera and is the foundation for his success as an aviation photographer. In addition to his magazine work, Dan works independently as a photographer for clients, primarily throughout the helicopter industry. As a result he has assembled an impressive portfolio of images, many used by companies for marketing, corporate communications and hanging fine art presentations. Dan’s approach to his work is unique in the fact; he is not only a professional photographer, he is also a commercial helicopter pilot. Dan’s ‘day-job’ is flying for one of Southern California's largest public safety agencies, currently as a firefighting and search and rescue pilot, where he has logged over 8000 hours.
