to develop and print customer’s work in the black and white lab, and by observing professional photographer’s work at this influential age, he learned to sharpen his skills and talents behind his own lenses.
During high school John learned to fly, and that progressed into a career in corporate aviation flying a Bombardier Challenger and Piaggio Avanti. Never leaving the camera behind, John has integrated two passions into his venture- Principal Photography.
Over the years John’s photos have been viewed in advertising campaigns that have been published in Robb Report, the Wall Street Journal, and many trade journals. He has also photographed for individual aircraft owners, corporate flight departments, and sponsors. During college John was asked to contribute to the student-published art book, where one of his photographs was chosen for the first color cover in the publication’s history. At the age of 10 John’s photograph of a Beech Baron 58 at sunset was chosen for the Best of Show award at the Deschutes County fair.
Aside from work, John enjoys spending time with his family, and being involved in many different sports including rock climbing, and skiing.
John is no stranger to the evolution of the industry and therefore is always willing to try new approaches. Utilizing a medium format film camera, and the latest digital 35mm camera, the possibilities are endless for what can be achieved.
